The Team Our HR Team of around 50 people is spread across our London, Manchester, Leeds and Edinburgh offices and they also support the business internationally. Within HR we have a number of specialist functions including Learning and Development, Reward, Resourcing, HR Operations, HR Business Partnering and CSR and Inclusion. The Role AG has an ambitious inclusion agenda, with a focus on 5 key areas: disability, ethnicity, gender, LGBTQ and social mobility, and we have published action plans/targets relating to each of these. Our CSR programme has a strategy of “Unlocking Young Potential” delivered through our extensive charity, community and pro bono work. We have wide support from Partners, colleagues and our employee networks and committees in delivering on our agenda. The CSR and Inclusion Advisor will be part of the firm’s CSR and Inclusion Team, which sits within HR. They will support the firm’s two CSR and Inclusion Managers in implementing our CSR and Inclusion Strategy both within the UK and globally. You can expect to work cohesively with the wider HR Team, key stakeholders and our Inclusion and CRS Partners within the business, providing them with guidance and support. There are elements of “business as usual” in the role, but there is a particular emphasis on project work. This is a full time role but we are open to requests for agile/flexible working. Travel between our UK offices and attendance at events out of hours will be required from time to time (once permitted). What will this role involve? The following list of duties is not exhaustive but gives a flavour of the duties this role will undertake: Implementing the firm’s CSR and inclusion strategies, through leading and contributing to various projects, events and initiatives designed to deliver the strategy. Liaising with HR colleagues to ensure inclusion principles are embedded into our people policies and processes. Establishing relationships with key internal stakeholders to ensure buy in to the CSR and inclusion agendas. Providing advice/support to partners and employees (including internationally) on CSR and inclusion issues. Effectively creating and cascading internal communications and working with the PR team to ensure optimum external coverage of the firm’s initiatives, including on social media. Supporting our employee network groups, local Charity and CSR Committees. Producing inclusion and CSR information for pitch/tender documents and the firm’s website. Completing relevant benchmarking exercises to ensure the firm is keeping up with best practice. Overseeing diversity monitoring and providing reports, as requested, on our workforce statistics. Supporting monitoring and reporting of our CSR and Inclusion programme. Representing the firm at external meetings, forums and networking events. Supporting the Head of Talent & Learning and CSR and Inclusion Manager on ad hoc projects. Knowledge, skills and experience required (bespoke to role) Any successful applicant will need the following skills and competencies: Proven interest in (and ideally experience of working in) Inclusion and CSR. Organised, highly-motivated, proactive and with a track record in delivering successful projects. Able to multitask and manage a number of different projects and stakeholders concurrently. Able to handle sensitive situations and information confidentially and discreetly. Good written style and attention to detail. Commercial understanding and approach. Comfortable with data analysis and workforce reporting. Excellent communication skills and interpersonal/relationship building skills. Confident leading meetings and facilitating group sessions, as required. Previous experience of working in law or professional services would be ideal, but not essential.
