We are looking for a Culture, Diversity and Inclusion Manager to join AWE within the HR function. This is an exciting time to join AWE as we are going through a period of growth and change. This role will lead the Cultural Change and Diversity and Inclusion agenda for AWE, developing the strategic approach to the change aligned to the business strategy. You will act as a subject matter expert to the for AWE sharing best practice and insights with the senior leader teams across the business. The role as Culture, Diversity and Inclusion Manager will help craft that future, covering a wide remit of projects and really delivering on our Culture Strategy and drive an integrated D&I agenda throughout. Location – Reading Area Key Accountabilities of the Culture, Diversity and Inclusion Manager: With the Head of Organisational Effectiveness and Development define the cultural, Diversity and Inclusion ambition of the organisation Work across the organisation to understand our culture, challenges and opportunities Define the Organisational Development and culture change agenda that enables an inclusive culture that fosters innovation, learning and safety Drive the delivery of the culture design and roadmap, collaborating closely with other OED partners, e.g. Head of Leadership and Talent. Protect and evolve the cultural roadmap and what makes AWE unique, inclusive and innovative as we continue to grow and develop as a business. Influence across the organisation to review policy, process and governance that aligns to our cultural ambition and works to embed culture work sustainably into the organisation. Work on projects where we need to improve our employee experience, making AWE an attractive and leading place to work in the Defence industry. Leads on Diversity and Inclusion for the organisation including reporting and governance Creates with stakeholder involvement improvements to AWE’s D&I Strategy Coordinates and develops business initiatives that support behavioural change and D&I, working with key stakeholders and already created internal D&I networking groups Provide guidance on embedding D&I so it becomes intrinsic to everything we do Essential Key Skills and qualifications: Good general standard of education, CIPD or relevant HR qualification (desired) Experience of leading either a Diversity & Inclusion or cultural agenda Strong stakeholder management and presentation skills Analytical skills and thinking – comfortable with the use and interpretation of data from a variety of sources Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to present to a variety of stakeholders in various situations Problem solving skills Collaboration and team working Reporting and report writing Expert coaching skills and ability to inspire confidence in others Previous experience in strategic people and culture initiatives is a must Working within a CoE and exposure to the annual cycle of events Outstanding Project management experience Strong internal partner engagement and communication skills Experience of driving results in a multi-faceted, demand-led environment Proven success in developing and managing a high performing team All candidates must be able to apply for and maintain the correct security clearance for this role.
