The D&I Manager will be responsible for leading and embedding the group’s EDI strategy, ensuring there is a consistent and ambitious approach in place at all times Client Details My client is a social housing provider based in Liverpool. Following an exciting period of transformation in the organisation, they continue with their focus of delivering better opportunities for the communities they serve, as they continue their growth trajectory. Description Reporting into the HR Director, the newly created role of Diversity and Inclusion Manager is being brought into the established HR and L&D team, with the focus of a driving a values-based culture across the organisation. The organisation currently has D&I practices in place, albeit this a great opportunity for a gap analysis and refresh of their EDI strategies and practices, and take this to the next level The responsibilities include (but are not limited to); Align the Group’s culture, knowledge and understanding with ED&I best practice. Develop effective partnerships, networks and joint working arrangements, both internally and externally, to ensure the most effective provision of advice and support to meet the needs and aspirations of the Group. Plan, develop and facilitate learning interventions for all colleagues on diversity and inclusion best practice. Work across all Directorates to embed ED&I awareness and best practice in everything the Group does. Lead the Group to become a respected influencer in equality, diversity and inclusion who leads by example. Provide high quality advice, support and guidance on equality issues, advising on compliance with relevant legislation, diversity and inclusion best practice and mitigation of risk. Develop a strong network of contacts across equality and community groups in our neighbourhoods and beyond, ensuring the Group benefits from and contributes to good practice. Undertake research and develop best practice in relation to current and future legislation and policies, whilst ensuring that the Group actively engages in consultation on such issues. Work closely with colleagues and key partners to support the development of a programme of events and activities to promote key national and international equalities initiatives. Lead in delivering the Group’s statutory equality objectives, including co-ordinating delivery of the Group’s ED&I Strategy and Action Plan Profile The ideal candidate will be minimum Level 5 CIPD qualified, or have substantial experience in a similar role. The candidate must show true passion and drive for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, and have experience in supporting strategies in this area. Other requirements include; Experience in leading organisational change focused on delivering improvements in equality, diversity and inclusion Leading by example, demonstrating a commitment to equality,diversity and inclusion through everyday interactions and practice Design and delivery of learning interventions in relation to ED&I Reporting to/working with Senior Management teams and/or Boards/Committees and Unions Experience in a not-for-profit or public sector/regulated organisation would be advantageous, but not essential Job Offer A salary of up to 51,290 plus hybrid and flexible working, and a suite of benefits
