The starting salary for this role is 35,382 per annum, working 36 hours per week. The People and Change Service at Surrey County Council is in the midst of implementing its  Workforce of the Future  Strategy and its vision of being “at the forefront of innovation and best practice in people management to ensure that we maximise the value of our workforce in a rapidly changing world”. The Employee Experience Team aims to improve the experience of all SCC staff, with a focus on equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) and wellbeing,  Our EDI action plan for 2022 includes developing our Employee Reference Groups, enhancing our EDI training programme and reviewing the experience of our disabled, LGBTQ and minority ethnic employees. This fixed term role has been created to enable additional capacity within the Employee Experience Team to support the delivery of our ambitious EDI action plan. The EDI Implementation Consultant will play in essential role in making sure that we are able to focus on our business-critical EDI work whilst giving the team additional capacity to progress our action plan and objectives. This will include leading on: EDI campaigns and communications Reporting on our EDI metrics and data (including pay gap information) Co-ordinating our reverse mentoring and training programme Co-ordinating our new Reasonable Adjustments service You will work closely with the Team’s EDI Consultant and our other EDI Implementation Consultant, whose focus is on supporting the development of our Employee Reference Groups (Staff Networks), and be expected to understand the challenges of promoting inclusion in a large and complex environment, using an evidence based approach.
