The Electoral Commission have an exciting opportunity for an Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Lead to join their team based London. Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion Lead – Key Responsibilities: – As the Lead your role will be influential in defining change and leading the organisation through the necessary steps – You will need to command the confidence both of senior management and of staff – You will bring a clear vision of the kind of diverse organisation we could aspire to be – You will be able to develop a strategy, deliver the practical steps to make that a reality and gain the commitment of the organisation to your approach – You will be our key advisor in this area, helping us to ensure we go beyond our obligations under equalities legislation, and help shape and deliver on our aspirations – The role will take you across all aspects of our work, including equality impact assessments, staff training, performance, external equality accreditations and supporting our Equality and Diversity Group – You will need to be a proactive self-starter, have a keen interest in and understanding of EDI matters, and the drive to make a real difference – As important, you will have excellent people skills, able to work collaboratively and use your influencing skills to create meaningful change with a variety of stakeholders This is a full-time permanent position which could be considered on a job-share basis. The role is based within our Planning and Performance Team at our London office, but you will also work closely with our Human Resources Team.
