The Equality Diversity & Inclusion Lead will coordinate all activities relating to the equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) agenda across the organisation. This will include playing a key role in the organisation’s understanding and response to the needs of its diverse communities, developing key alliances and engaging with communities and external stakeholders to improve the experience of the diverse group of employees across the organisation. Client Details I’m delighted to be partnering a large public sector organisation in Yorkshire. Description Reporting to the Director of HR, the key priorities of this role are to: Ensure that the EDI agenda is recognised as positive, proactive and influential in contributing to the organisation’s strategic and operational planning process. Develop and implement organisation-wide EDI policies, procedures and guidelines, leading changes to policies, practices and behaviours to improve outcomes for the workforce, stakeholders, communities etc. Provide advice and support the development of workforce policies that promote fairness and embed diversity in the workplace. Provide relevant training in relation to EDI as part of corporate induction, Pathway to management and bespoke packages e.g. unconscious bias. Develop and lead an integrated approach to EDI in line with the organisation’s values and behaviours and best practice Profile The ideal candidate will have the following experience: Essential: Educated to masters level or an equivalent level of experience in working at a senior level in specialist area i.e. EDI Evidence of Continuing professional development Working at a strategic level, implementing EDI policy and initiatives within complex NHS or Public sector organisations Development of strong working relationships both strategically and operationally across a range of settings and agencies EDI and related training design, delivery and evaluation Advising all staff on a wide range of complex EDI issues Use of research in developing the case for change Extensive experience in change management and organisation development Facilitating equality impact assessment, taking account of the full range of protected characteristics PLEASE NOTE: This role is based in Yorkshire and you would be expected to be on-site at least three days per week Job Offer 40,000 – 44,500 DOE benefits
