Job Summary: The Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Practitioner will play a key role in contributing to and implementing the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Strategy and the Strategic Equality Plan of the organization. The EDI practitioner will work in partnership with the Head of OD and the EDI Manager to ensure that EDI has a central place in all service-related and employee engagement activities, working to ensure the organisation achieve their obligation to comply with equality legislation, and actively move towards a stronger culture of inclusion for service users and employees. Delivery of EDI projects and initiatives is at the core of this role, with the range of varied work streams and projects being driven by the EDI Strategy, the SEP and the wider Workforce & OD Strategy, to improve cultural awareness and competency across the organisation. The post holder will work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider OD and HR team to contribute to the development of the organisations EDI Strategy, increase awareness of equality, diversity and inclusion principles, and help to establish ownership of EDI priorities within the organisation. The post holder will also be required to contribute to the broader portfolio of OD programmes, working collaboratively across the OD Team ensure a seamless delivery of OD initiatives, which include: · Values, Behaviours · Leadership and Culture · Talent & Attraction · Learning & Development · Staff survey and other ‘temperature’ tools. · Team Effectiveness · Workforce Policy · Employee Experience and Wellbeing The ideal candidate for this position will: Have experience of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion development, design and delivery within a complex and multi-disciplinary organisation. Demonstrate experience of leading Equality, diversity and inclusion projects and interventions within a wider OD portfolio of work. Have a proven track record of working autonomously, using own initiative to resolve issues and respond to queries. Hold previous experience of project management and maintaining a project information system. Be able to undertake data collection, collation, and creation/inputting into spreadsheets, with a requirement to develop and create reports and other documents. It’s essential that applicants have effective influencing skills, excellent communication skill,s and a solution-driven approach.
