Each of our 5,000 colleagues benefits from the opportunity to develop and progress their career within and across our wider Group network.What the role entailsIn this newly created role, you will have the unique opportunity to accelerate with pace the Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) agenda within the Group.Reporting to the Group Operations Managing Director you will lead on the development of LTE Group’s EDI Strategic plans, working in conjunction with key stakeholders. Provide and implement solutions to complex equality, diversity and inclusion challenges within the framework of relevant legislation and to ensure the provision of a high standard of advice, support and delivery across the Group on EDI matters.The post-holder is expected to deliver expert advice and guidance, develop and implement strategic policies, practices and action plans to ensure that we not only meet our EDI duties, aims and objectives, but also that equality, diversity and inclusion supports and enables the pursuit of excellence in all that we do.The Group EDI Lead is required to be proactive in keeping abreast with developments in equality, diversity and inclusion across the Education sector and beyond and any changes in relevant legislation are communicated, keeping up to date with local and national initiatives.Your skills, interests and what you can bringEvidence of implementing equality, diversity and inclusion within a large organisation.Overseeing the implementation strategic plans.Making change happen by negotiating and implementing new policy/initiatives with a range of stakeholders, including those over whom they have no authority.Experience of the production of strategy/policy documents.Experience of successfully chairing and facilitating meetingsProject management in the area of equality, diversity and inclusionExperience of working with sector-relevant local and national networksThe ability to gain support in a professional, constructive and non-confrontational manner.A confident, collaborative and outcome focussed approach.Experience of translating strategy into practical operational deliveryThe ability to effectively shape and execute culture change programmes that achieve sustainable results through high levels of colleague involvement and engagement., a natural change driver with lots of practical experience in leading complex change projects.For more details please refer to the job description.Be part of our success story and help change the future, please click on the ‘Apply’The LTE Group is an equal opportunities employer welcoming applications from all sections of the community.The role is on a fixed term (2 years), full time (37 hours per week) basis.In return you will benefit from an excellent package including a favourable Pension scheme, Retail Discounts, Employee Assistance Program, Cycle to work scheme and Simply Health scheme.The closing date for this job advert is 05/11/2021 however sometimes the job advert may close early if we receive a good response!
