Role: Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Lead Salary: 37,000- 39,000 Location: Nottingham Type: 12 Month Fixed Term Contract Overview 2Fawcett are recruiting for a talented individual to join a business in Nottingham as a Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Lead on a 12 month fixed term contract. As Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Lead you will be joining a busy that sits within the HR function. The role will involve embedding a refreshed Equality, Diversity and Inclusion strategy. You will work with senior managers and a range of stakeholders to provide advice and collaboratively work to deliver on the EDI ambitions. The Role & Responsibilities of the Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Lead Develop strong working relationships with, and understanding of the business, ensuring the provision of technical EDI advice, guidance and support across the business Advise, coach, guide and support Directors, Senior Managers and staff to ensure that EDI considerations are built in to all employment processes/practices and service delivery Support the business in complying with the Public Sector Equality Duty by developing/maintaining tools, guides and learning resources for Departments to utilise to improve services and address citizen needs Support the delivery of the EDI strategy, working with Lead Directors and Councillors. Ensure Equality, Diversity and Inclusion meetings are run effectively, in conjunction with the Chair. Be the lead specialist in relation to equality, diversity and inclusion, ensuring the Council’s policies and procedures are legally compliant and reflect best practice To prepare reports and communicate effectively to a range of Stakeholders, including, Staff Networks, Trade Unions, Senior Managers and Councillors. Establish and maintain a network of external contracts (local and national) to horizon scan, seek intelligence to instil a culture of continuous improvement Horizon scan for emerging trends, innovations and best practice to embed into the business. To create local information resources in relation to EDI and to promote the EDI agenda within the organisation, in a range of ways including delivering briefings, writing guidance and contributing to EDI training products Where appropriate, initiate and lead EDI projects to deliver interventions applying project management practices Ensure HR and OD colleagues have appropriately detailed understanding of the full range of EDI policies, procedures and practices The post holder will work predominantly on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion but will be required to be flexible to assist on our Employability programmes and wider HR and OD teams during peaks and troughs.
