Group Head of Diversity & Inclusion Home working/London/International travel Salary 90,000 – 100,000 plus 6,240 car allowance and bonus This FTSE 250 company is seeking an experienced D&I leader to report into the Group Head of Talent. This is a newly created role so yours to shape. You will create, implement and embed effective diversity & inclusion strategies and activities across 34 markets working collaboratively with employees at all levels, up to and including Board level to underpin the delivery of business strategy and actively enable the creation of a truly inclusive, high performance culture. This is a stand alone role working through relationships with the wider HR function & business. Key responsibilities: To identify and capture quantitative and qualitative data to track/measure progress, generating insight to inform business decision making and enable effective reporting to meet legal/regulatory requirements To partner with business leaders and HR colleagues in developing local diversity & inclusion strategies recognising and responding to different local cultural needs whilst aligned with Group-wide strategic intent and principles To lead the identification of employee champions and creation of employee led networks, covering all aspects of the diversity & inclusion agenda, generating and harnessing energy and interest to drive understanding, action and progress To leverage own external network of individuals and organisations to bring latest thinking and best practice. sharing learning with colleagues and ensuring the relevance and currency of activities/priorities at all times  To effectively represent the business with external parties and networks To effectively communicate and influence all relevant parties, up to and including Board level, designing and delivering engaging presentations and business reports as required Work closely with the recruitment team to improve hiring of diverse talent Skills and experience required: You will either be in the number 1 or number 2 role in your current D&I team. International D&I experience Proven experience in initiating and implementing (from ‘scratch) a wide range of effective pragmatic, innovative diversity & inclusion strategies and solutions in a complex, matrixed, global organisation Proven ability to build strong and effective collaborative relationships with individuals at all levels of an organisation; ability to promote ideas persuasively to influence and shape opinions, gain commitment and buy-in and build followership with multiple stakeholders to ensure operational alignment and high impact execution. Proven expertise in gaining ‘bottom up’ employee active engagement and involvement in working groups and forums Flexible and adaptable; a proven track record of and preference for working in change environments with ambiguity Self-starter; highly skilled and hands on in both creating clear strategies and plans and delivering practical, pragmatic actions, with minimal guidance This organisation is an equal opportunities employer.
