Now is an exciting time to join our team. Overview Our HR function plays a pivotal role in achieving UKRI’s vision. Following a comprehensive review and in full consultation with all key stakeholders, we are implementing a new HR Target Operating Model to transform the way we work, with a focus on strengthening our strategic business partnering capability, modernizing HR operational services and building up our expertise in areas such as careers and talent management, EDI, and leadership development. We are seeking to recruit a Head of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion , who will lead, design and deliver strategic and evidence-based EDI advice, programmes and initiatives for UKRI and its Councils to develop a diverse and inclusive culture where all employees have the opportunity to thrive. The position In this role, you will develop a UKRI HR-related EDI enabling framework and plan. As the leading UKRI HR EDI expert, you will also provide policy advice and consultancy on EDI developments to a wide range of stakeholders. Skills, knowledge and experience required University degree in HR/Organisation Development or equivalent relevant professional experience CIPD membership and/or equivalent relevant professional experience/qualifications Experience of leading an EDI function within a complex, unionised organisation Knowledge of employment law and EDI practices and their role in business success Experience of creating and implementing EDI interventions that have a demonstrable organisational impact Experience and understanding of employee engagement and the development of staff networks Ability to build relationships and communicate at all levels Credible expert with the ability to influence Insight driven – at ease with data and analytics to demonstrate impact and return on investment Coaching and collaborative leadership style.
