Inclusion and Diversity Corporate Lead Permanent, Full Time – 36.25 hours per week 51,264 – 54,740 per annum 626 fringe Location: Basildon Closing Date: 19th October 2021 Essex County Council are delighted to be supporting Basildon Council to recruit a Inclusion and Diversity Corporate Lead. Our aim is to inspire our workforce to do their best work in an inclusive work environment and to ensure that our service users get the best possible service. We are seeking a ‘Inclusion and Diversity (I & D)’ leader that shares our ambitions to “build” a diverse organisation with a unique sense of workforce belonging and the drive to ensure equity in service provision for our diverse communities. As our subject matter expert, you will have the skills to build relationships, positively drive change, challenge and influence behaviours, practices and culture. Engaging across multiple directorates and functions you will create, embed, promote and raise awareness of inclusion and diversity activities, initiatives, and achievements. You will maintain the ongoing management and evolution of our I & D strategy and roadmap, working towards clear and measurable goals to create a diverse workforce, inclusive culture and ensure equitable services . This is an incredibly exciting time to be joining the organisation as we have been working to rescope our approach to I & D which will underpin our new strategy to 2024.
