Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Participation & Inclusion Officer within the Children & Families Team to work full time based in Halton. The salary for this permanent Participation & Inclusion Officer job is up to 23,111per annum. Main duties: Ensure young people are informed of their rights through personal contact, accessible information in print and other media and through meetings, as appropriate, so that they are able to make a full contribution to planning their future Assist young people to contribute to and influence agreed aspects of the service, for example, producing information for young people and carers, taking part in recruitment, contributing to training for staff and carers, so that these are planned from a young person’s perspective Support young people in providing their views on and contributions to policies and practice which effect them, to make them relevant to the needs of young people and to ensure their views are incorporated Promote and develop a range of systems to secure the full participation of children and young people in the work of Children’s Services particularly through the Children in Care Council, Care leaver Consultation Group and relevant young people’s steering/advisory groups Participate in service planning projects to ensure that children’s rights are kept at the forefront of agency policies Liaise with managers and support services to ensure children’s rights and young people’s participation form part of their on-going planning Work with children’s rights and participation networks to ensure that services for children in care and care leavers are informed by local, regional and national developments Where appropriate, participate as a working supervisor of other staff to ensure the effective and efficient organisation of the Service Be part of the Team and contribute to team meetings Maintain effective record systems to enable all children in care to participate appropriately Promote equality of opportunity and provide anti discriminatory practice in all area of work Maintain and develop skills and knowledge through training and developmental opportunities Undertale any other duties and responsibilities as may eb assigned from time to time which are commensurate with the grade of the job Requirements of this Participation & Inclusion Officer job: A social Work qualification or equivalent Understanding of relevant legislation Continual professional development Social Work England registered Contact: This Participation & Inclusion Officer job is advertised by Harry Smy; if you are interested in this position please click above to apply now.
