Warwickshire College Group one of the leading further and higher education colleges in the UK, with six unique colleges across two counties (Warwickshire and Worcestershire), we aim to deliver learning experiences which lead to the development of wider skill bases and improved destinations for all of our students.
We are the first college group in the UK to be granted Bachelor degree awarding powers alongside Foundation degree awarding powers by the Office for Students – meaning the academic quality and standards of our degrees are equal to any university. WCG was delighted to be awarded the Queen’s Anniversary prize in 2021 for being a “leading provider of engineering apprenticeships in the Midlands,”
The Governing Body, is the highest level of decision-making in the college, having overall responsibility for the strategic direction and financial health of the institution. As a Governor you will be at the heart of the college, responsible for determining the education and training provided and the strategy for delivering it.
You would be joining a Board of 20 governors 15 of which are non-executive appointments, joined by the Group CEO, two staff and two student governors. https://wcg.ac.uk/page/436/governors
We wish to further diversify our Board and would welcome applications from people with a diverse range of backgrounds, including young professionals based in the West Midlands region (our Colleges are in Warwickshire and Worcestershire).
The role is non-remunerated, but expenses will be paid.
